Life
It’s the kind of smile you wear
It’s the laugh that your share
It’s the hand that reaches
When you’ve fallen
It’s the voice that hears
When you’re calling
It’s the tears that wash your face
When you’ve lost another race
Or when hope’s prayer
Is finally answered
It’s the pain that twists your spine
And wrings you time to time
It’s the joy from mercy and release
When all that pain will cease
It’s those days you lay in bed
When nothing, but everything
Roams through your head
Those days when you stop to smell the flowers
Those days you talks with friends for hours
It’s those funny days you decide
With friends to play outside
At each other, you throw paint
And no one has complaints…
Life
It’s how you open your eyes
It’s the way you color your skies
It’s the hand you find to hold
And the warmth you bring to cold
It’s the light you carry
And the light you find.
